WWW Package: The Bubble Project - BP

These WWW pages are a preliminary prototype. Pending funding the BP WWW site will be significantly expanded to include

- A History of the Events of 1720,
- Contemporary Prints, Texts, Broadsides, and Newspapers,
- Relevant Commentaries and Annotations,
- Various Essays,
- "Bubble" Songs,
- Animated Farces of 1720,
- Annotated Bibliographies of Primary and Secondary Materials, and
- A List of Related Events and Works Thereon.
(e.g., Dutch tulipomania, railway speculation, the 1929 crash, "junk" bonds, derivatives)

The multidisciplinary and intertextual content of "Bubble" material makes it an ideal subject for a hypermedia package.

If all goes well, this expanded WWW package will be made available in stages commencing the Fall of 1996.
