David McNeil is an Associate Professor of English at Dalhousie University where he has taught since 1984. Upon the death of his father, he inherited a number of unique or rare hockey photographs from the 1940-50s era. In 2004 he established “HIP: Hockey in Print,”; an online bibliography of writing on hockey which has over 600 items <http://www.hip.english.dal.ca/>. Last year he launched a new class in “Hockey Literature.” He is the author of a book on war and the grotesque and a number of articles.
