Qingdao is a well-known holiday resort located in the southeast part of Shandong Province. The average summer and winter temperatures in Qingdao are 25 ℃ and 1.3℃ respectively with an annual average temperature of 12.2℃. In 1897, Germany annexed Qingdao and introduced German style brewing. Qingdao takes pride in its Bavarian appearance and also known as the " China’s Switzerland ". In recent years, Qingdao became one of China's first "open door" cities, and it continues to produce the world-renowned Qingdao Beer.
