I love looking at things. The curve of a tree limb or the colours on a still pond. Even reflections in a puddle make me stop and take a peek. I think this is why I enjoy painting so much. Playing with colour and form. I am in control of the tiny world at the end of my brush. The paintings I create are generally simple and full of vibrant colour. The themes are happy ones. I prefer to paint pictures that make my world a nicer place to be. Photography is also a hobby of mine and I think it is that same fascination with the beauty of the moment that captivates me. It is a passion that I have not really had the time or the money for but I hope to pursue in the future. Writing is somthing else I have dabbled in. Distilling words into perfect combinations thrills me and is an impossible goal but I keep on trying. Reading inspires me to continue and yet often makes me want to pack it in and give up. So many books, so little time.... It tickles me to think that my paintings are in houses all over the world! I have sold to the Far East and across Europe. I have to sell a painting to someone in Hawaii to complete the entire United States and if someone in Nunavut purchases a painting, Canada will be complete. Who would have thought a dining room table could be so productive. I am so grateful to all of you and I hope that each time you glance at one of my "creations," it gives you joy!
