named Munro Chair of Philosophy (Metaphysics).
MA student Caleb Lee has won this year's Irving
and Jeanne Glovin Award from the Oskar
Schindler Humanities Foundation for his essay, "Intuition,
Morality and Principles: Learning to Be Good without Rules."

MA student Rebecca
Mason received the Irving
and Jeanne Glovin Award from the Oskar
Schindler Humanities Foundation for her essay, “Reorienting
Deliberation: Identity Politics and Good Human Conduct.”
2007
Susan Sherwin received the Canadian Bioethics Society Lifetime Achievement Award.
2006
Steven Burns received the Faculty of
Graduate Studies Distinguished Service Award.
Letitia Meynell won the Sessional Instructor's Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Susan Sherwin won the prestigious Killam Prize.
PhD student Meredith Schwartz received the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Doctoral Scholarship.

The
Douglas Butler Memorial Scholarship
This
Scholarship offers a monetary prize to the MA student whose essay
is judged best of the year. Each student is encouraged to submit one
essay from among those written for classes during the past academic
year.
