Organic Lab

Our synthetic and preparation labs are very well equipped and are highly suitable to the work that we are carrying out. We have several large fumehoods to do organic synthesis and a glove box to do zeolite and other moisture senstive work. Vacuum lines are set up in the lab for sample preparation.

Students in our laboratory have the opportunity to carry out a wide range of synthetic organic reactions. These included preparing and identifying new compounds which have not been reported previously and also include preparing compounds from procedures found in the chemical literature. Either way students who have an interest in synthetic organic chemistry become well versed in all aspects of synthetic organic chemistry, included synthetic strategies, purifications techniques and modern NMR spectroscopy. Our laboratories are well equipped for carrying out organic reactions and also for sample preparation and testing.
