Thanks, William Forsyth, thanks for introducing that lovely shrub to England (and thence, I suppose, to Canada). Its flowers open early, long before its leaves do. You have indeed brought us gold after the long winter. Thanks for having had the forsythe! To atone - for a winded introduction on this and for gratuitous comments on the previous page - I won't bother you with any more pop-ups.
