The Research Team currently includes staff, Postdoctoral Fellows and Graduate students:
Dr. C.S. Zhang, (from TaiYuan University, China): Numerical modeling and tesing of acoustic characteristics of stressed rock bolts
Yan Cui, Graduate Student (M.A.Sc.): Attenuation of ultrasonic waves in grouted rock bolts
Limin Gao, Graduate Student (M.A.Sc.): Simulation of reservoir permeability
Vandi Madenga, Graduate Student (M.A.Sc.): Nondestructive testing of Rock bolts
Nanthan Nadarajah, Graduate Student (Ph.D.): Optimized mine backfill design for underground support
Wasayo Sahito, Graduate Student (Ph.D.): Innovative shotcreting using mine tailings
In the past a few years, a number of Masters and Ph.D. students and Postdoctoral Fellows worked at GMI under the supervision of Professor Zou. Many of them have found good positions in industry and other organizations.
