Rock Mechanics and Ground Stability Control
in geotechnical and Mining Engineering

Research in this area involved a variety of topics related to
mining and geotechnical engineering, mostly in rock engineering.
In particular:

- rock mechanics and underground stability control
- reinforcement of soft/weak/failed ground and foundations
- highwall design and slope stability assessment in surface mines
- feasibility study of mining projects
- field rock mechanics instrumentation and
fault slip monitoring
- rockburst study and microseismic monitoring
- numerical modelling and Back-Analysis in geomechanics,
- mine tailings disposal and industrial wastes management.
